The way film weeks are counted is weird…

Not only does weekend box office numbers include Fridays, so the weekend is three days long, but depending on who you talk to the weekly numbers either start on the Monday as normal (as BoxOfficeMojo counts the international box office) or the Friday as it’s the start of the box office weekend (as the BFI [British Film Institute] count from box office weekend to weekend). This just means that this week the article is a little later then planned.

It also means that the days between the international and UK box office charts don’t wholly line up, the UK chart is just the weekend, but it’s a way to compare the markets and that’s the interesting thing. There’s all the list of films coming out in the UK the film week.

With that said, lets dive in starting with the UK Weekend Box Office,
