As a DC fan, it was truly an experience to catch #DCFandome, a memorable global event for DC Comics.
It was so incredible to see everything DC has to offer in the coming years.
The night started with – Wonder Woman 1984. The panel had Chris Pine, Gal Gadot, director Patty Jenkins, who is just incredible. They also had Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, who played the Villains of 1984, the Cheetah, and Maxwell Lord.
However, we are here to talk about the trailer, which was a pleasant surprise at the end of the panel, along with seeing my idol and OG Diana Prince, herself, Lynda Carter. Here is the Trailer:
First of all, Diana flying on a lightening bolt is still the most badass thing ever. I love seeing it.
Second, I am really excited to see Pedro Pascal’s portrayal of Maxwell Lord. We already have another version of the character in the Arrowverse on CW’s Supergirl. He was all about protecting humanity and making sure that humans were as strong as aliens in that universe. He was portrayed as a businessman, but one you could relate to, who wanted to do good for humanity. So it will be interesting to see how this version will play out if he will be the same or someone completely different, especially when this Maxwell lord is a lot earlier in the timeline than the one in Supergirl.
Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah is giving me Batman Forever Edward Nigma vibes. I think it might just be her look, but it feels like she’s a nerdy character who turns to the dark side just like Jim Carrey’s Edward Nigma. I am looking forward to seeing Wiig on screen. Maybe it’ll be a little different.
A little disappointed about the spoiler. Obviously, Chris Pine will be in this movie, which means that it is a big spoiler given what happened at the end of the previous film.
I was holding out at the end there when they got into the plane. I seriously thought they were going to have the invisible plane. That would have been so great! Come on, where is the invisible plane, guys? Overall I am really excited for Wonder Woman 1984. I can’t wait to see it!
Wonder Woman 1984’s release date keeps changing due to the global situation. However, at the moment, it stands to release on October 2nd, 2020.
