On November 30 2013, the barrier between Virtual Worlds were broken when the residents of both Second life and InWorldz met for a discussion. The topics ranged from DCMA, copyrighting, the growth of inWorldz, the Second Life TOS and griefing that inWorldz might face with the growth of its users.
The event was informative and shed light on the problems both grids faced with their rapid growth. The three topics that took form were copyrighting and DMCA, with a lot of content creators concerned about their rights within the virtual settings. Another was the laws against gambling and why Second Life and inWorldz must follow them, and finally the ‘rivalry’ between Second Life and inWorldz users.
