Here is the call. Enjoy!
Developers Make Some Fake Gamer Pictures;
You see people in publicity shots and adverts for game/consoles. And most of them hold the controller wrong. Most people in the pictures are models not gamers so that tends to happen, but you think the guy (who is hired by a game company) could help them out in getting it right. So Miguel Concepcion did a series of pictures. “I’ve taken the following photos as reminders and suggestions of proper gaming expressions and postures. Take it from these pros; this is how you should look when you’ve mistakenly chosen to reload when you really should have just switched to your sidearm.” Check out the pictures here.
Bethesda Weirds Out Gaming Community;
Your guess is as good as mine to what these mean. The first went up around Monday and the second today.
“Fallout” game is due and people thought it was adverts for “Fallout 4”. This is the response:
@aegies You talking about the Vine thing? Guess again 🙂

You got any ideas for what this could be because I got nothing.
Subtitle For A Subtitle;
“Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon” is now no joke. It comes out on May 1st and it seems awesome! YouTube effect film-makers Corridor Digital made a short film with Ubisoft to help publicize the game. And it is also awesome. Here it “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon: The Cyber War”;
Playfish Takes Layoffs;
Playfish, the company owned by EA that makes social games for sites like Facebook, is closing the games “Sims Social”, “SimCity Social” and “Pet Society” will be closed on June 14th. It is also become apparent that about 50 people will be laid off. An EA representative said in a statement that “These are difficult decisions to let go of good people who have made important contributions to EA, and whenever possible we retrain or relocate employees to new roles.” “Streamlining our operations will help ensure EA is bringing the best next-generation games to players around the world.” This may be odd to hear consider that EA was in a lawsuit (which it won) against Zynga about “Sim Social.”
The Fastest Internet In The East;
The So-net internet company in Japan, owned by Sony, has revealed that it is rolling out a new internet service called nuro-fiber. The service will available for Tokyo and six surrounding prefectures. This will let homes and business get 2GB of internet with 1gps upload speed. Yes, you read that right. 2 gigabit internet! The fastest connection in the US is only 15mps which is about the same as here in the UK. And it will only cost the expensive price of 4980Yen. Which is about $50ish/£30ish. One reason why this is stepping forward is that the Japanese government is a supporter of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH). And my government is still talking about broadband. So last week.
That’s all for now. I will leave you with this trailer. Probably the best trailer this week, or ever.
