
E.L. James, author of Fifty Shades of Grey, has topped the literary books lists of highest earning authors with the sales from her book trilogy Fifty Shades. The British author earned an amazing $95 million ( or 62 mil GBP) since the its beginning in 2011.
The Fifty Shades Trilogy is a collection of racy erotic novels that follows the affair between student Anastasia Steele and 27-year-old Christian Grey, a BDSM loving billionaire. James, 50, become known after publishing the novel as an eBook in May 2011 that quickly became viral for its plot.
According to News website The Telegraph.co.uk E.L. Jame’s success has pushed James Patterson ( Alex Cross Series), Suzanne Collins (The Hunger Games) and Dan Brown ( the Da Vinci Code series) out of their highest earning spots living them to take second, third and fourth place respectively.

Stephanie Meyers, author of the successful Twilight franchise has promised to not write another word about it. According to the Guardian, in a Variety interview the author commented that she would only return to the franchise if it meant writing that one of the characters died. Meyers also states that she is moving away from the Twilight stories.
“I get further away from Twilight every day. For me it’s not a happy place to be.”
Meyers also showed interest in the world of Middle-Earth.
