Box Office Chart and Latest Releases (Week of 24 October 2019)

Yeah, new title. Trying to make it more punch-y. And yeah, better for Google searches.

The way BoxOfficeMojo (so iMDB) did their weekly charts changed so there is more up-to-date information. That or I was just missing the latest charts a times… Either way, there is overlap this week so the charts are directly comparable for once. Also means coping the information over to the big post here is a little harder but ya’ll here for the big pile of information here so that’s something.

Joker managed to hold off Maleficent for the top spot in the UK but not in the US. I think the fight to be number on is not over quite yet in that regard. Also high in the UK chart is Shaun the Sheep, a very British creation that will no doubt confuse Americans as much as Peppa Pig did/does for mostly the same reasons.

After that, Zombieland is high in both as Gemini Man and Abominable. The Addams Family is hight in the US chart but comes out Friday (tomorrow) in the UK so isn’t about yet. There’s always at least one ‘in one, not the other’ every week.

That said, here’s the UK Weekend Box Office,
